Malai Kesar Sheera
Preparation time :5 minutes Serves 6
Cooking time: 45 minutes
Ingredients :
1 cup thick semolina ½ cup pure ghee

6 cups of ghee

½ cup of sugar

¼ cup sliced almonds ¼ cup sliced raisins
½ tsp. saffron soaked in ¼ cup of milk ¼ cup sliced pistachio nuts
Method:
  1. Fry semolina in a kadai with ghee till it's golden brown.
  2. Put the fried semolina with milk and sugar in the pan of the cooker without the cooking plate and switch to 'cook mode'. Do not cover with the lid.
  3. After 35 minutes add the saffron, almonds, pistachio nuts and raisins. Stir occasionally.
  4. Cook for 10 more minutes and then switch off. Serve cool.
Note:

Stir the sheera more frequently as it gets thicker to avoid burning at the base.
