Steamed Vegetables

Preparation time: 20 minutes 

Serves 2-4

Ingredients:
100 gm. chopped French beans  100 gm. chopped capsicums
100 gm. chopped carrots  ½ cup green peas, shelled
½ cup cauliflower florets  1 tsp. black pepper powder 
Salt to taste  1 chopped onion 
1 tbsp. oil  2 tsp. maida 
2 tbsp. butter
For Ginger-Garlic Sauce:
2 tbsp. oil 1 tsp. ginger-garlic paste 
2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 cup vegetable stock 
1 cup tomato sauce 2 tbsp. corn flour 
Salt to taste  ½ tsp. sugar
For making Sauce: 
  1. Heat oil in a pan, add ginger-garlic paste. When it is lightly fried add ground chillies and vegetable stock, lemon juice, salt, sugar and tomato sauce. 
  2. Allow it to simmer. Make a smooth paste of corn flour and add to the sauce. When the sauce thickness, remove from fire. 
Method:
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions and fry for a minute. Add chopped vegetables, black pepper powder and salt. Sprinkle the maida over it and remove from fire. 
  2. Take a big piece of aluminum foil, put the vegetable on it and roll it gently. Place this rolled foil in a pressure cooker and steam it for 4-5 minutes. Remove from fire. 
  3. Remove all the vegetables from the foil and place it in a serving dish. Spread 2 tbsp. butter over it and serve hot with ginger-garlic sauce.
