The
message given by Jalaram Bapa "Mutter
God's Name and Serve Food" is brought to pactise or to realistic by
Shri Jalaram Satsang Mandal of Nagpur which is continously serving people
and doing satsang. From Jalaram Mandir the charity house, nobody is sent
without food. Not only food but the poor and needy people are also given
free clinical ayurvedic treatment. There is an ayurvedic clinic in the
mandir itself.
All social institutes
are limited to their social programs but Jalaram Satsang Mandal have its own
identity due to its characteristics of helping and serving poor and needy
people.
Everyday bhajans and
serving food is a very different combination and cannot be found anywhere
else. In the very begining of the mandir, the Satsang Mandal
organised only bhajans and small social programs.
But Sant Hari Bhagat also named as 'Chote Jalaram' inspired to continue the
message of muttrering gods name and serving food to people. And this way the
Mandal was established with the motto in 1976.
The first President was Shri Maganbhai Thakral, Secretary was Shri
Jayantilal Raja, and Chairman was Shri Vinodrai Chunnilal Thakkar. By the
co-operation of all the mambers of the mandal the Jalaram Mandir was built
in Queta Colony. Nagpur. Shri Manibhai Patel, Rasikbhai Khakkar and Late
Shri Bhagwanji Bhai Mashru had donated generously for the construction of
the temple. As the Mandir was established so was the message of Sant Shri
Jalaram Bapa was continued. It has been 22 years back that the incident had
taken place.
Everyday morning the food is been prepared to serve. Anybody is free to help
in the prepartion or any seva of the temple. Under the rule, the Sadhus are
served first and then the poor and needy are given food. Nobody is sent
without food from the mandir. Near about 1000 people have their meals in the
mandir daily. The Mandal does not need to ask for funds and donations to
anybody. This is so, because there are many people who give charity in cash
and grains whole heartedly to the Mandir.
Usually there is rush everyday in the Mandir but on Thursday's there is a
program of Mahaprasad. In this program people take part in great number. And
in the compound of the Mandir itself, an Ayurvedic clinic is run by the
Mandal for past many years. Till date thousands of people have taken benefit
of the clinic in the Mandir.
With free clinic checkup, poor people are also affliated with some money
help. Every year along with health care camp, they distribute asthama
medicines and provide people the guideline for asthama care.
When the terrible earthquake occured in Bhuj and Kuchh, the Mandal showed
its true humanity. In the guidance of Sant Hari Bapa, Help and care camps
were organised in Kachh and Bhuj. Not only utensils, clothes and other daily
needs were given but people were served food by the camp of this
organisation. Sant Hari Bapa, himself served people with his own hands. Even
when there were floods in Mowad the members of the Mandal gave food to
around three thousand people everyday.
In the days of rain when water used to get collected in the slum areas of
Nandanvan and Manewada in Nagpur, the Mandal gave help to the people and
provided them food. From time-to-time the Mandal gives help to orphanage
organisations.
